A Gold Medal Visit: Olympian Holly Pearne-Webb Inspires Our Students!

We were thrilled to welcome two incredible guests to our school, providing a truly inspiring experience for our students. This fantastic visit was made possible by Persimmon Homes, who partnered with us to deliver an afternoon focused on aspirations, teamwork, and future opportunities. The event left both staff and students feeling motivated and empowered!

Paul Curry from Persimmon Homes began the session with an informative and engaging talk about aspirations and careers in the construction industry. He shared valuable insights into the wide range of opportunities available and encouraged students to consider employability in this growing sector.

Next, we had the honour of meeting Hollie Pearne-Webb, Team GB Women's Hockey Captain and Olympic Gold and Bronze medallist. Hollie shared her inspiring journey to Olympic success, emphasising the dedication, resilience, and teamwork that fuelled her incredible achievements. She even brought along some of her medals, giving students the unique opportunity to see them up close!

The excitement continued in the school hall, where Hollie led team activities designed to promote collaboration and communication skills. Our students worked together brilliantly, cheering each other on and embracing the spirit of teamwork.

This unforgettable visit was not only a celebration of success but also a reminder of the importance of setting goals and believing in oneself. A huge thank you to Persimmon Homes and Hollie Pearne-Webb for an inspiring and motivational session that will stay with us for years to come!
